We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Assessment Clinician to join our team at Hendricks Behavioral Hospital!

• Play a crucial role in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information.
• Provide technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Director of A&R and offer general support to the case management program.
• Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
• Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
• Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews.
• Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
• Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy.
• Maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented.
• Make follow-up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments.
• Demonstrate guest relations by example and provide counseling to employees in need of training.

What We’re Looking For
Education & Licensure: A nursing degree from an accredited school is required. Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana as a Registered Nurse (RN).

• Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting, preferred.
• A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam and working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.

This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range is $36.00- 48.00 hourly.
