We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Assessment Clinician to join our team at Hendricks Behavioral Hospital!
- Play a crucial role in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information.
- Provide technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Director of A&R and offer general support to the case management program.
- Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
- Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
- Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews.
- Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
- Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy.
- Maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented.
- Make follow-up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments.
- Demonstrate guest relations by example and provide counseling to employees in need of training.

What We’re Looking For
Education & Licensure: A nursing degree from an accredited school is required. Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting, preferred.
- A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam and working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.
