Job Description
Coordinates and arranges community access to the Behavioral Health programs and provides initial contact for individuals seeking psychiatric and/or substance abuse assistance.
Provides and fosters high-quality service through positive interpersonal relations and effective communication skills.
Follows HIPAA guidelines and adheres to confidentiality, especially on patient privacy and departmental issues.
Incorporates patient, physician, and customer needs and concerns into decision-making and demonstrate appropriate decision-making skills based on clinical need, crisis level, and safety.
Functions independently and consults clinicians or supervisors when decisions are beyond the position's scope of practice.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and de-escalation skills in customer service matters [Required]
- Able to document accurately [Required]
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
