Intake Counselor: Full-Time

Job Description Join our team of professionals at Aurora Behavioral Health System. ABHS is a free-standing psychiatric inpatient hospital with an outpatient program. Our psychiatric facility is licensed to treat adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Intake Counselor. The available schedule is a rotating schedule requiring every other Saturday. #INDHIGH Job Duties Handle all referrals for services, schedule assessments, and/or refer patients to appropriate community resourcesComplete level of care assessments for clients seeking inpatient and outpatient mental health and detox servicesAdmit new patients to the hospitalComplete pre-certification with insurance companies to authorize patients' hospitalizationWork with nursing, medical, and other disciplines to coordinate care for patients Requirements A master's degree in social work, counseling, or a closely related field is requiredLicensed in the state of Arizona and in good standing (LAC, LPC, LASAC, LISAC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT or LMFT)Strong working knowledge of DSM-5 criteria, community resources, assessment, and crisis interventionExperience in a behavioral healthcare hospital setting is a plusMust be 21 years oldAble to pass a background check, drug screen, and meet qualifications for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card Job Types: Full Time Benefits 401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance Medical Specialty Psychiatry Education Master's (Required) License/Certification: Required (LAC, LPC, LASAC, LISAC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT or LMFT) (Required) Schedule Week 1- Tues 8a-6p, Wed 8a-6p, Fri 8a-8p, Sat 6a-4p Week 2- Tues 8a-6p, Wed 8a-6p, Thurs 8a-6p, Fri 8a-6p Work Location: In person
