Position Summary

An Intake Attorney is responsible for conducting initial consultations, assessing potential cases, and guiding clients through the intake process under the direction of the Senior Intake Attorney.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the intake of potential new clients.
  • Conducting consultations with potential new clients.
  • Reviewing and analyzing new potential cases for approval by the Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Notifying the Executive Team about new cases daily.
  • Monitoring the reception area for visitors and staff members, maintaining quality assurance.
  • Reviewing all cases completed by the Intake Specialists to ensure accuracy.
  • Evaluate and revise intake and reception protocols and procedures.
  • Courtesy calls for non-qualifying clients on behalf of the Firm.
  • Answering incoming calls as needed.
  • Meeting with clients offsite and gathering information as needed.
  • Ensuring case management software (CMS) feed is cleared daily.
  • Ensuring email is cleared daily.
  • Ensuring completion of all assigned tasks by relevant due dates.
  • Participating in staff meetings and leadership team meetings.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Graduate of an accredited institution by the American Bar Association with a Juris Doctor degree and a specialization in law or any related field
  • A minimum of one year of experience in facilitating the intake process
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and in good standing with the Nevada State Bar
  • A reliable vehicle, valid Nevada driver’s license, valid driver’s insurance, and proof of driving record
  • Thorough knowledge of legal principles, legal research techniques, legal terminology, and government regulations
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work with databases and online technological platforms
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible
  • Advanced leadership skills that foster team development and engagement
  • Proficient command of the English language in both oral and written format
  • Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various backgrounds and professional competencies
  • Committed to maintaining integrity and confidentiality on behalf of clients and the Firm

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Minimum of two years of experience in plaintiff personal injury or workers’ compensation
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
