About the role
This role also serves as the primary backup for the receptionist and patient check‑in, which may require early morning coverage as needed.
Responsibilities
- Validate and enter patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system
- Communicate with physician offices, insurance carriers, and patient follow-ups
- Provide registration coverage
Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- One (1) year previous medical insurance verification required
- Minimum two (2) years of hospital, surgery center, or medical office experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and use time wisely to meet high-paced demand
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
