Insurance Verifications/Estimator - Full-Time

Summary Of Position

• Verify all new patients’ insurance authorizations both primary and secondary payors.
• Ensure accuracy of data entry for all new patients.
• Ensure all information is gathered and Latern referral is appropriate for the care being potentially provided.
• Verify the patient is eligible for service(s) and prior approval has been granted before initiating services.
• Provide necessary paperwork to accurately bill accounts.
• Collect insurance policy IDs and verify benefits and check price estimates for procedures scheduled.
• Notify patients of estimated charges based on claims processed to date.
• Document all contact with patients, doctors, and insurance companies in NextGen.
• Communicate to physician and team regarding patient information.
• Order lunch for physician daily.
• Responsible for alerting vendors of implant needs.
• This role is also the backup person to the front desk.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Two years experience in the medical office setting, preferably with surgical scheduling responsibilities and extensive public contact.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as an Insurance Verification Representative.
