Insurance Verification Specialist

About the role

Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to join their team. This position focuses primarily on verifying insurance coverage and benefits for new patients in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
• Complete approximately 80–90 insurance verifications per day
• Utilize Availity and state Medicaid portals to confirm coverage
• Review patient accounts and update insurance information
• Complete occasional re-verifications as needed
• Support collections and other patient account functions when necessary

Requirements

• Recent healthcare insurance verification experience required
• Availity experience required
• Experience using state Medicaid websites/portals required
• Previous medical collections experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
• Flexible start time between 7:00 AM–9:00 AM
• 100% onsite
