Insurance Technology Strategy Senior Manager
About the role
The team collaborates with practitioners across Deloitte's different service offerings to deliver advice to formulate business strategy and strategic plans to leading insurance organizations and to implement solutions to execute on those plans and aid our clients in navigating complex engagements and organizational change. Engagements span Deloitte offerings and could include developing underwriting, distribution, and claims transformation plans, modernizing specific business and enterprise functions, re-designing operating models and organizational structures, implementing digital experience and advanced analytics solutions, and integrating functions across multiple organizations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as trusted advisors to clients, working with them to make clear data-driven choices about where to play and how to win - driving growth and enterprise value.
- Work with enterprise leaders to help them shape and execute robust strategies that enable them to navigate the most consequential technology choices - whether platforms, engineered solutions, infrastructure, or operating models.
- Develop technology strategies to increase a company's profitability, catalyze growth, and ultimately deliver value across the stakeholder set.
- Determine the platforms to adopt, the architectures to build, the ways of working to change, and the capabilities improvements required to operate at efficient scale.
- Craft quality deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships - whether on a small engagement or as part of a larger transformation.
- Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of management consulting experience focused on technology strategy and technology transformation.
- 6+ years of experience: Crafting and implementing strategies for growth and technology transformation at the corporate, business, or product level.
- 4+ years of experience: Creating client-ready materials, including roadmaps, presentations (PowerPoint), business case, business process, and technology transformation plans, etc.
- Managing and delivering large, complex technology engagements (minimum of 2 full life cycle implementation) and critical programs.
- Leading a team and influencing others.
- Participated in 4 or more projects involving: Technology strategy definition / IT Strategy, cloud strategy, platform strategy, vendor selection (e.g., service providers, software providers, ERP platforms), IT cost optimization and effectiveness, IT service delivery and technology outsourcing advisory, technology capability and skillset assessments (current and future state), digital transformation architecture blueprinting and roadmaps, digital technology spend optimization, IT transformation roadmap development, IT service management assessment, data management strategy and architecture, IT process and tool deployment, IT governance, operating model and delivery model assessment, IT financial management analysis (e.g. dashboards, charge-back model, and enterprise and solution architecture).
- Experience in ITIL: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement and the processes in each of these five lifecycle phases.
- 6+ years experience in the insurance sector.
- Undergraduate degree with focus on Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
- Advanced degree in business (i.e., MBA) or area of specialization.
- 7+ years of experience leading technology issues and trends, including the associated business implications within one or more industries.
- 6+ years of experience in the consulting services sales pursuit & proposal process.
- 6+ years of experience with Scenario Planning/Modeling.
- Knowledge of or experience in broader G&A functions (i.e., HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Commercial Operations).
- Basic understanding of the core digital technologies that underpin world class customer experiences (e.g., CRM, E-Commerce, Content Management).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record.
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

$175,000 to $322,900
