Responsibilities

  • Help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Strategy Advisory group within the Strategy & Technology Group (STG) vertical in Chicago, Illinois.
  • Deliver business focused initiatives and strategic recommendations for our clients through understanding their objectives, addressing their challenges, developing an understanding of market conditions and issues, and defining strategies that drive growth opportunities and competitive market advantages.
  • Participate in full lifecycle client engagements by supporting the delivery of discrete workstreams and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform data analyses and financial modeling to derive quantitative insights.
  • Conduct market and subject domain research, quantitative and qualitative analyses, to inform strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Prepare and participate in client interviews and discovery sessions with Aon subject matter experts.
  • Develop and present client-ready materials (PowerPoint, Excel, White Papers).
  • Synthesize findings, identify key insights from analyses, and implement and execute strategic recommendations.
  • Communicate recommendations to clients.
  • Support client relationship management activities alongside other STG colleagues.
  • Work with senior management to develop proposals and create marketing and business development materials.
  • Support the operational needs of STG including internal initiatives such as recruiting, marketing, communications, etc.

Requirements

  • Prior, proven experience in consulting, finance, corporate strategy or insurance.
  • Strong analytical abilities and a track record of academic success.
  • Strong verbal communication and business writing abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, on multiple workstreams, and with tight deadlines.
  • Regularly identifies opportunities to take on additional responsibility and to work more efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Experience in data analytics tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent years of industry experience.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry trends and best practices.

Pay

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $60,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

Schedule

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
