Insurance Sales Producer
About the Position
River Valley Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency seeking an energetic and experienced Insurance Agent to join our team. The Insurance Agent will be responsible for selling our large line of property and casualty products to our clientele, assisting with the sales process from pre-insurance, quoting, closing and binding the policy. This position will also be responsible for building long term referral partners and managing the customer account.
What You Will Do
- Contact prospective customers and follow up on new sales opportunities
- Prepare property and casualty insurance quotes
- Explain coverage options clearly and professionally
- Guide customers through the quoting, closing and policy-binding process
- Follow up on open quotes and pending applications
- Build and maintain long-term referral relationships
- Respond to customer account questions and requests
- Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Cook with internal departments to resolve customer concerns
- Maintain accurate sales and customer records
- Participate in training, coaching and professional-development activities
- Assist with special projects and other responsibilities assigned by management
Licensing Support
An active Property and Casualty Insurance Producer License is preferred, but applicants who are not yet licensed are encouraged to apply. River Valley Insurance Group will work with the selected candidate to obtain the licensing required for the position. River Valley will provide guidance and support throughout the licensing process so the selected candidate can meet the requirements of the position.

Based on the progression River Valley Insurance Group believes is achievable with its lead-generation program, training and support, producers may have the potential to reach:
- Time in Position: 4 Months - Potential Monthly Earnings: $5,100
- Time in Position: 8 Months - Potential Monthly Earnings: $7,000
- Time in Position: 12 Months - Potential Monthly Earnings: $9,750
There is no fixed cap on commissions, so high-performing producers may earn more. Your effort, consistency and results directly influence your earning potential.
