Position Summary
The Auto Club Group is seeking Insurance Sales Agents to drive new business, retain existing members, and grow ACG's insurance book through a range of competitive product offerings. In this role, agents use consultative sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer-focused service to assess needs, recommend coverage, close sales, and build lasting relationships with members and prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Uses sales techniques and strong product knowledge to identify customer-specific needs to generate new sales, retain existing insureds and grow our overall insurance book of business
- Effectively overcomes objections to close the sale and/or retain the insured
- Works to meet or exceed targets as defined in the sales incentive plan and as assigned by the Insurance Sales Agent’s manager
- Conducts insurance review for clients to identify a range of suitable products
- Uses provided tools and applicable underwriting guidelines to assess risk, recommend appropriate products and related coverage, quote, bind and issue policies
- Engages in market-based interactions, at business establishments and other convenient locations, to solicit new business, create and expand business networks and build rapport critical to establishing customer satisfaction, loyalty and affinity to the AAA brand
- Responds to customer inquiries and requests relating to insurance, membership and financial products
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current Property & Casualty Insurance license
- Current Life Insurance Sales license
- Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
- Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable as deemed necessary and within a time frame established by the Business Unit
- 1+ year(s) of sales or customer service experience
- Experience with strong sales skills, consultative selling techniques, thorough product knowledge, phone sales and prospecting skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong customer focus
- Knowledge of desktop systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office software applications
- Excellent listening skills and ability to understand customer needs
Compensation & Benefits Overview
Average Annual Earnings: $57,000 - $80,000+
A guaranteed hourly rate of $21.63 (annualized rate of $45,000) plus commissions and bonus opportunities.
This position is also eligible for overtime.

Time Off & Leave
- Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment
- Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements
- Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month
- Company-paid holidays: 10 full-time employees annually, 8 part-time employees annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day
