The Orange, VA office of Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance seeks an Insurance Sales Agent to join our team. This position reports to the Agency Manager and is based in Orange County with travel to meet with existing and new clients.

About the role

This role offers an average first-year total compensation range of $52,000 to $125,000 annually, inclusive of base salary and commissions. Base salary ranges from $37,000 to $52,000 annually, dependent upon location and established book of business. Virginia Farm Bureau offers unlimited earning potential for those who are driven and committed to their career and community.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with community members and organizations
  • Manage an existing book of business
  • Generate new sales through effective communication and relationship-building
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs
  • Work independently and manage time effectively

Requirements

  • Property & Casualty license and Life, Health & Annuities license, or ability to obtain these with Virginia Farm Bureau providing and paying for licensing training materials/class
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good time management skills
  • Prior sales experience (any industry) helpful but not required
  • Goal-oriented and driven to succeed

Pay

Base salary ranges from $37,000 to $52,000 annually, dependent upon location and established book of business. Total compensation is driven by individual effort, hustle, and the relationships built with members.
