Job Description

This is a relationship driven sales role with long-term income potential through commission. We know building a client base takes time, which is why we offer ramp-up earnings support during your first months as you grow your pipeline and book of business $5,000 New Agent Ramp-up Incentive This supports your transition by providing additional income as you develop your pipeline and build a strong foundation for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the sale and ongoing service of ACG-branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products within a high-traffic ACG branch;
  • Uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, grow ACG’s insurance portfolio, overcome objections, negotiate effectively, close sales, and meet or exceed individual sales targets and incentive plan expectations.
  • Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk, identify coverage gaps, recommend appropriate solutions, and quote, bind, and issue policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong rapport with members and clients, respond to inquiries with professionalism and urgency, and support high customer satisfaction, loyalty, and trust in the AAA brand.
  • Actively engage in local branch and community events to prospect, expand referral networks, develop new business opportunities, and identify cross-sell and referral opportunities into Travel and Financial Services to maximize overall member value.

Required Qualifications

  • Active State Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
  • Active State Life and Health Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products.
  • Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable as deemed necessary and within a time frame established by the Business Unit.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer automated business environment (i.e., financial/banking)
  • Insurance experience is helpful—but not required.
  • We provide training to help you get licensed and confident in the role.

Compensation & Benefits Overview

  • Base pay (non-exempt): Typical Starting Earnings $57,000 - $62,000+ (First-year, based on performance)
  • Additional Compensation: Ramp-up support $2,500 Processed 30 and 60 days of employment Supplemental Pay for six months: $200/week during months 0–2 $150/week during months 3–4 $100/week during months 5–6
  • Performance Incentives: Elevated commission structure during the first 15 months New Hire On-Pace Bonus tied to milestones

Company match of 50% paid on employee contributions up to 6% of pay, payable to employees following the end of the year; immediate vesting. Additional company contribution of 4% of pay each pay day into your account; 100% vested after three (3) years of service. Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) options.
  • Time Off & Leave: Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment. Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements. Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month. Paid Holidays: Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day. Holidays vary by business unit schedules. Part-time employees are eligible for 8 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays. Holidays vary by business unit schedules. Paid leave programs, including parental, bereavement, jury duty, and military leave.
