Insurance Sales Agent-Isle of Wight Branch

The Virginia Farm Bureau seeks an Insurance Sales Agent to join their team in the Isle of Wight Main Farm Bureau Office in Isle of Wight, VA. This is a full-time position based out of the office with travel to meet with existing and new clients.

About the role

This position will be responsible for building and maintaining a book of business, servicing existing clients, and prospecting for new business. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong desire to help and serve the community, and a proven track record of success in sales.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a book of business
• Serve existing clients
• Possess property & casualty license and life, health & annuities license, or be able to obtain these with Virginia Farm Bureau providing and paying for licensing training materials/class
• Provide proof of passing licensing test
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Manage time efficiently and work independently
• Have prior sales experience (though not required)
• Be goal-oriented and driven to succeed

Pay

Average first-year total compensation ranges from $52,000 to $125,000 annually, inclusive of base salary ($37,000 - $52,000 annually dependent upon location and established book of business).

Schedule

The schedule is full-time on-site at the Isle of Wight Branch office.
