About the role
The Insurance Sales Agent position at Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance is a full-time role based in the Albemarle County office in Charlottesville, VA. Reporting to the Agency Manager, this position services existing accounts and grows new business in the surrounding area.
Responsibilities
- Service existing accounts
- Grow new business in the surrounding area
- Manage an existing book of business
- Receive a base salary and potential for additional income from various sources
- Eligible for a lucrative sign-on bonus

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Experience in sales or customer service preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid insurance license
- Pass a background check

Schedule
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling to accommodate the needs of the territory and the agent.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $37,000 – $52,000 annually, dependent upon location and established book of business. Total compensation is driven by individual effort, hustle, and the relationships built with members.
