Responsibilities

• Assist customers with various insurance needs, including new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions.
• Inspect vehicles to assess general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek out new clients, generate lists of prospective clients, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
• Collaborate with your office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer Service or Insurance Sales Experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Hold a valid and current Limited Lines or Property & Casualty License in Texas (highly preferred, but not required).
• Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly learn proprietary software.
• Complete continuing education courses (paid for by ALPA) to maintain active license status with TDI.
