About the role

Based in Albany, Vermont, The Atlantic District seeks an Insurance Sales Agent to join its mission of providing clear, personal, and helpful insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will enjoy connecting with clients, listening carefully, and guiding them towards solutions that truly benefit their lives, families, and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with prospective and current clients to understand their coverage needs
  • Recommend insurance solutions that align with each client's situation, budget, and goals
  • Follow up on leads and inquiries promptly and thoughtfully
  • Prepare quotes, review policy details, and assist clients through the sales process
  • Build trust by explaining coverage options clearly and confidently
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policies, and sales activity
  • Work with internal partners to ensure clients have a seamless experience from initial contact to policy placement
  • Stay updated on products, carrier updates, and industry trends affecting your clients

Requirements

  • Active insurance license or ability to obtain one in Vermont
  • Previous experience in insurance sales, customer service, or a related client-facing role
  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Ability to explain coverage options clearly and confidently
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and standard office software
  • An organized approach to managing leads, follow-ups, and client details
  • A professional, dependable demeanor with a comfort level in building long-term client relationships
  • Knowledge of personal lines or commercial insurance products is a plus
