You’ll take the time to listen, ask the right questions, and offer coverage options that make sense for each customer's life.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with prospective and existing customers to understand their insurance needs
  • Recommend coverage options that fit each client’s situation and goals
  • Prepare quotes, submit applications, and help guide policies from start to finish
  • Follow up with clients in a timely, thoughtful way to support sales growth and retention
  • Answer questions about policy options, renewals, and coverage changes with clarity and care
  • Maintain accurate records in the agency system and keep client information organized
  • Build trusted relationships that make customers feel supported long after the first conversation
  • Work closely with the agency team to keep service smooth and communication consistent

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license or the ability to obtain one promptly, if required
  • Previous experience in insurance sales, account management, or a client-facing sales role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain coverage clearly and confidently
  • Comfort working with leads, referrals, and follow-up conversations
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn CRM or quoting systems
  • Detail-oriented approach when preparing applications, quotes, and policy documentation
  • Ability to work on-site in Derby, Vermont

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of personal lines or commercial lines insurance is preferred
  • Experience building long-term customer relationships in a service-based role is preferred

Pay

Salary Range: $220,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
