About the role
Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance is seeking an Insurance Sales Agent to join their dynamic team in the Amelia County Branch Farm Bureau Office. This position is based in Amelia, VA, with occasional travel to meet with existing and new clients. Reporting to the Agency Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong client base, selling insurance products, and contributing to the growth of the company.Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong client base through effective communication and relationship management
- Sell property and casualty insurance products to meet sales targets
- Manage and grow an existing book of business
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Represent Virginia Farm Bureau at industry events and community functions
Requirements
- Licensing: Possess a Property & Casualty license and Life, Health & Annuities license, or be ready to obtain them with fully-funded training materials and classes
- Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Time Management: Effective time management and the ability to work independently
- Sales Experience: Previous sales experience is a plus but not required
- Goal-Oriented Mindset: Driven to exceed goals and succeed in the role

Pay
Average first-year total compensation ranges from $52,000 to $125,000 annually, dependent upon location and established book of business. Base salary ranges from $37,000 to $52,000 annually.
Schedule
The schedule is flexible, allowing for both daytime and evening hours to accommodate client needs.
