This is a Fully Remote Job 1. About Our Client:The organization operates within the healthcare sector, focusing on medical billing and insurance claim processing. It addresses the challenges related to securing payments from third-party payors and managing insurance-related inquiries and audits. 2. About the Opportunity:The Insurance Reviewer II plays a vital role in managing insurance claims and payments. This position is responsible for reviewing and processing insurance vouchers, rebilling unpaid charges, handling secondary billing, responding to audits and inquiries, and ensuring accurate billing and registration. The role contributes to the financial operations by securing payments and identifying trends or issues in claims processing. 3. Responsibilities:Handle phone calls and messages related to designated insurance areasUpdate patient registration information as neededReview and process insurance vouchers, including rebilling and adjustmentsProcess secondary billing as requestedManage incoming insurance mail and respond to audits and information requestsCorrect patient invoices through necessary adjustmentsConduct insurance reviews to obtain additional claim paymentsAnalyze and process system edits to ensure correct billing and physician productivityInvestigate and process denied claims and claims in work files or reportsReport incidents to supervisors or managementAssist with special projects and assignmentsAttend relevant training and in-service sessionsMaintain confidentiality and comply with incident reporting policiesAdhere to OSHA and organizational training requirementsProvide excellent customer service following organizational standards 4. Requirements:High school diploma or GEDExperience in a medical billing officePreferred knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-9 codingProficient computer, typing, and calculator skillsAbility to work independently or as part of a team 5.
