About the role
The Insurance Lead — Florida Market is a client-facing, relationship-driven role within Odevo’s Insurance Group. Reporting to Insurance leadership, this full-time Florida-based position serves as the primary insurance point of contact for community managers and HOA board clients across our Florida portfolio — connecting them with the right coverage, brokers, and guidance from initial conversation through to proposal acceptance.
Relationship Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community managers and client board members across our Florida portfolio
- Work closely with the Insurance team to define the operating model and insurance go-to-market strategy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Florida clients for all insurance needs, guidance, and questions
- Proactively identify new insurance opportunities within our existing client base
- Attend client board meetings regularly to represent our insurance program and present insurance proposals
Sales Enablement
- Cook up and set up insurance sales opportunities for our partner broker network
- Organize and lead proposal meetings, presenting coverage options and broker recommendations to boards
- Manage the full client-facing sales cycle from initial outreach through proposal acceptance
- Help clients compare and evaluate competing broker proposals with clarity and objectivity
Advisory & Client Education
- Advise clients on their insurance needs including property, liability, D&O, and other HOA-relevant coverages
- Communicate clearly about quotes, coverage offerings, exclusions, and renewal changes in plain language
- Help boards understand the “why” behind coverage recommendations, not just the numbers
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource clients can call on between renewal cycles
Who You Are
- A natural relationship-builder who is energized by client-facing work and thrives in a consultative role
- Comfortable presenting to groups, including formal board settings with multiple stakeholders
- Organized and self-directed — able to manage your own time and pipeline without close oversight
- Motivated by performance-based compensation and the opportunity to grow earnings through results
- Comfortable navigating complexity and helping clients make confident decisions
Experience
- Located in Florida with the ability to travel periodically for onsite board meetings, broker meetings, and client engagements
- Strong client-facing and relationship management experience (B2B, property management, community association, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and in formal presentation settings
- Must obtain a Florida insurance agent license; Odevo will sponsor the process
Preferred
- Prior experience working within an HOA management company or community association environment — highly preferred
- Existing insurance knowledge or industry experience (property & casualty a plus)
- Familiarity with HOA governance, board dynamics, and how community associations make decisions
- Experience managing multiple client relationships or accounts simultaneously
