Insurance Property Inspector

About the role

Information Providers, Inc. is seeking a part‑time 1099 Insurance Property Inspector in Pasadena, TX. The position is field‑based, allowing you to manage your own schedule, travel throughout an assigned territory, and conduct on‑site inspections of homes and businesses.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch daily from home with no central office reporting required.
• Conduct on‑site inspections of residential and commercial properties, capturing detailed photographs and documenting key features relevant to underwriting decisions.
• Assess property conditions, identify potential hazards or concerns, and gather accurate data.
• Compile thorough underwriting survey reports and submit them in a timely manner.
• Complete administrative work remotely, including report submission and communication with policyholders or residents.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
• Ability to work independently while managing your own schedule and workload.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate measuring, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, smartphones, Windows‑based laptops).
• Ability to complete administrative work remotely and submit reports promptly.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Pay

$20–$28 per billable hour.

Schedule

Flexible 1099 position. Normal field operating hours are 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM (or dusk, whichever is earlier), Monday through Saturday. No surveys or phone contact are performed after 8:00 PM, on Sundays, or on holidays.
