About the role
Responsible for assessing client's risk exposure on personal and/or commercial property, making appropriate recommendations, and placing coverage to address those risks.
Responsibilities
- Market and sell personal lines insurance policies.
- Proactively contact all leads to recommend appropriate insurance, quote, and place coverage (65-75%).
- Identify and assess client risk exposures.
- Foster referral relationships with real estate personnel, including agents, office managers, and mortgage brokers to maximize sales opportunities (20-25%).
- Provide work direction to new business specialists to ensure all aspects of client onboarding are completed properly and in a timely manner (0-5%).
- Actively monitor and report to management any circumstances that may lead to potential or actual insurance errors and omissions claims, DOI complaints, or related complaints (0-5%).
- Remain current on industry trends and specific carrier underwriting requirements.
- Follow all company procedures and processing guidelines (0-5%).
- Ensure license remains current and complete CEUs as needed in a timely manner (0-5%).
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned (0-5%).

Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience and knowledge; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two years' successful personal lines insurance sales experience.
- Appropriate state agent/broker personal lines insurance license.

- Working knowledge of insurance agency operations, coverages, rates, markets, and applicable insurance laws/codes.
- Working knowledge of risk assessment and risk management techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent automation, time management, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of real estate, title, and/or mortgage businesses preferred.
