Insurance Operations Specialist

About the role

ABA Insurance Services Inc., a division of Great American Insurance Group, is a market-leading provider of professional liability, bond, and property & casualty coverage for financial institutions, as well as EPLI and cyber for small businesses and D&O for nonprofit organizations. This position is based in the Shaker Heights, OH office and follows a hybrid schedule: four days on-site with one remote day per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage policy lifecycle transactions, including new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Ensure data accuracy and document quality across underwriting and policy administration systems.
• Generate and distribute policy documents, certificates of insurance, and other related materials, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a trusted resource for agents, brokers, and underwriters.
• Partner with business teams to improve processes, drive efficiency, and reduce operational friction.
• Contribute to training, documentation, and knowledge-sharing efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance operations or customer service.
• Completion of or progress toward a professional designation (e.g., Property/Casualty Insurance license) is preferred.
