About the role
An Insurance Loss Control Field Representative at Alexander & Schmidt is responsible for conducting on-site property, general liability, and incidental auto inspections. The representative prepares detailed reports for insurance underwriting purposes, which insurance companies use to assess and price coverage for commercial or residential buildings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site property, general liability, and incidental auto inspections
- Prepare comprehensive reports for insurance underwriting
- Upload completed reports, photos, and diagrams through a special website
- Complete reports on web-based systems
- Guide underwriters in selecting profitable business opportunities
- Aid insured clients in controlling potential losses through loss control services
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience with a commercial carrier or providing loss control services
- Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines including property, general liability, auto, and workers compensation
- Exceptional writing ability, organizational skills, and computer proficiency
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to travel within a 60-mile radius
- Professional certifications such as CSP, OHST, ALCM, or ARM are preferred, but not required
