Insurance Inspector - Tuscaloosa, AL

About the role

We are seeking experienced independent contractors to complete insurance underwriting inspections. Our services to insurance company customers primarily focus on commercial & residential inspections as well as workers’ compensation inspections.

Responsibilities

• Travel to insureds' business sites to evaluate hazards and safety concerns.
• Interview business owners and tour the premises.
• Make measurements of buildings as required.
• Take photos and identify hazards and safety concerns.
• Work in areas where we have WC field inspections to assign, adding significant value if you have that experience.
• Varying workload by location, ranging from one day’s worth of work to several days or more per week.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• A strong work ethic.
• A high degree of personal integrity.
• Attention to detail.
• Mental aptitude; ability to see spatial relationships.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to interact professionally via telephone or in person, with policyholders (insureds), clients, and their representatives.
