Insurance Inspector - Shreveport, LA

About the role

We are seeking experienced independent contractors to complete insurance underwriting inspections. Our services to insurance company customers primarily focus on commercial & residential inspections as well as workers’ compensation inspections.

Responsibilities

• Travel to insured businesses to evaluate hazards and safety concerns.
• Interview business owners and tour the premises.
• Take measurements and take photos as needed.
• Identify hazards and safety concerns.
• Work in various locations, with volumes ranging from one day’s worth of work to several days or more per week.
• Must have an insured, reliable vehicle, access to high-speed internet, and a digital camera.
• Earnings are commission-based, paid by the hour based on inspection length and complexity.

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

• Attention to detail.
• Mathematical aptitude; ability to see spatial relationships.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to interact professionally via telephone or in person with policyholders (insureds), clients, and their representatives.
