Insurance Inspector - Commercial - NATIONWIDE

About the role

We are seeking EXPERIENCED INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS to complete insurance underwriting inspections.

Responsibilities

• Travel to insured businesses to evaluate hazards and safety concerns.
• Interview business owners and tour the premises.
• Take measurements and photos as needed.
• Identify hazards and safety concerns.
• Work in areas with commercial property inspections, adding significant value.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• A strong work ethic
• A high degree of personal integrity
• Attention to detail
• Mathematical aptitude; ability to see spatial relationships
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• The ability to interact professionally via telephone or in person, with policy holders (insureds), clients, and their representatives

Qualifications

• Insured, reliable vehicle
• Access to high-speed Internet
• Digital camera

Skills

• Commercial property inspections experience
• Ability to interact professionally with policy holders and clients

Benefits

• Earnings are commission-based, paid by the hour based on inspection length and complexity (avg 1.75 hours per commercial case)

Pay

• Commission-based earnings based on inspection length and complexity

Schedule

• Variation in volume of work by location, ranging from one day’s worth of work to several days or more per week
