Insurance Inspector - Commercial - Mankato, MN

About the role

We are seeking experienced independent contractors to complete insurance underwriting inspections. Our services to insurance company customers primarily focus on commercial & residential inspections as well as workers’ compensation inspections.

Responsibilities

• Travel to insured business sites to evaluate hazards and safety concerns.
• Interview business owners and tour premises.
• Make measurements and take photos as needed.
• Identify hazards and safety concerns.
• Work in areas with WC field inspections to assign, adding significant value.
• Varying work volume ranging from one day’s worth of work to several days or more per week.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• A strong work ethic.
• A high degree of personal integrity.
• Attention to detail.
• Maintain mathematical aptitude to see spatial relationships.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to interact professionally via telephone or in person with policy holders (insureds), clients, and their representatives.
