Insurance Defense Attorney
Job Details
The ideal candidate is a licensed California attorney who is organized, motivated, and interested in building practical litigation skills through meaningful case responsibility and client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Attend court appearances, mediations, and hearings
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
- Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings as opportunities arise
- Maintain timely reporting and case updates
Qualifications
- Active membership in the State Bar of California
- Minimum 1 year of civil litigation experience preferred
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments
- Experience with law and motion practice, discovery, and court appearances preferred
- Interest in long-term professional development and litigation practice growth
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000 – $200,000 annually, depending on experience
