Insurance Coverage Associate
Hunton seeks an experienced insurance coverage lawyer for a full-time, partnership-track associate position to join the Insurance Coverage practice group in one of our Boston, Miami, Richmond, Washington, DC, or New York offices.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of insurance coverage experience representing policyholders or insurers, as well as litigation experience. Candidates must be comfortable working directly with clients and colleagues, demonstrate leadership and initiative, and be focused on client service.
Responsibilities
- Provide insurance coverage counsel and representation to policyholders or insurers
- Handle litigation matters related to insurance coverage
- Work directly with clients and colleagues
- Participate in pro bono matters
Requirements
- 3-5 years of insurance coverage experience (class of 2021–2023)
- Familiarity with first- and third-party insurance policies and principles of insurance policy interpretation
- Excellent analytical and writing skills
- Strong academic record
- Licensed in the jurisdiction to which you are applying (preferred) or willing to obtain licensure within one year of joining the firm
