The Position
Job Title: Insurance Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager
Summary: The primary role of a Commercial Lines Account Manager is to service our customers. The Account Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality and efficient service to both internal and external clients through the day-to-day account management of a group of middle market and/or large commercial lines accounts.
About the Role
This position is essential in maintaining our current customers and directly affects our policy and premium retention rates. This position is also considered support staff for our Producers.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Serves Commercial Lines Book of Business, including:
- Builds and solidifies relationships with existing clients by providing ongoing customer care
- Endorsements
- Billing/payments (invoice transactions, record payments, prepare finance agreements)
- Affords assistance to Claims Coordinator (when needed)
- Creates new/renewal business submissions
- Loss runs (create letters, order loss runs/obtain/order experience modifiers)
- Gathers & helps complete supplemental applications & supporting documentation
- Issues certificates, evidence of insurance, auto id cards, and binders
- Processes and mails out policies
- Creates proposals for Producers
- Cancellation tracking and processing (pending and canceled)
- Audit tracking
- Issues and Processes Bonds
- In partnership with the Production team, takes a leadership role in the renewal process, ensuring that the best possible solution is delivered to the client in a high-quality and timely manner
- Supports one or more Producers and is the first line of contact when the Producer is not available
- Remarkets accounts when necessary
- Account rounding for existing Commercial Lines business
- Rating and Comparisons
- Builds carrier relationships and keeps up with carrier updates and underwriting information
- Maintains complete and accurate client and policy data and documents within the operating systems
Employee Specifications
- Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, College Degree preferred; 3-7 years of Commercial Lines insurance account management experience is required; Oklahoma and TX Property & Casualty Insurance License; Thorough knowledge of commercial lines coverages and markets; Experience with handling large, complex risks; Professional designations such as CISR, CIC, AINS, AAI, ARM, CRM, or CPCU are highly desirable
- Technical/Functional Competencies: Proficient in PC operating systems – Applied Epic; Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.; Knowledge of and experience with Insurance Carrier websites
Employee may perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Specific performance objectives may be developed each year to measure the performance of the tasks and functions listed in this job description.
This position follows a 4-1 workweek and is an in-office role. Employees are expected to be on-site four days per week and may work remotely one day per week.
