About the role
This position is essential in maintaining our current customers and directly affects our policy and premium retention rates. The Account Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality and efficient service to both internal and external clients through the day-to-day account management of a group of middle market and/or large commercial lines accounts. You will directly contribute to key business outcomes such as client retention, client satisfaction, enhancing the agency’s value to our clients and prospects, achieve operating/margin targets and fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Services Commercial Lines Book of Business, including:
- Builds and solidifies relationships with existing clients by providing ongoing customer care
- Endorsements
- Billing/payments (invoice transactions, record payments, prepare finance agreements)
- Assists Claims Coordinator (when needed)
- Creates new/renewal business submissions
- Loss runs (create letters, order loss runs / obtain/order experience modifiers)
- Gathers & helps complete supplemental applications & supporting documentation
- Issues certificates, evidence of insurance, auto id cards, and binders
- Processes and mails out policies
- Creates proposals for Producers
- Cancellation tracking and processing (pending and cancelled)
- Audit tracking
- Issues and Processes Bonds
- In partnership with the Production team, takes a leadership role in the renewal process, ensuring that the best possible solution is delivered to the client in a high-quality and timely manner
- Supports one or more Producers and is the first line of contact when the Producer is not available
- Remarkets accounts when necessary
- Account rounding for existing Commercial Lines business
- Rating and Comparisons
- Builds carrier relationships and keeps up with carrier updates and underwriting information
- Maintains complete and accurate client and policy data and documents within the operating systems
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; College Degree preferred
- 3–7 years Commercial Lines insurance account management experience
- Oklahoma and Texas Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Thorough knowledge of commercial lines coverages and markets
- Experience with handling large, complex risks
- Professional designations such as CISR, CIC, AINS, AAI, ARM, CRM, or CPCU are highly desirable
Skills
- Proficient in PC operating systems – Applied Epic
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience with Insurance Carrier websites
