Insurance Agent Trainee
Location: Richmond, Virginia · Full‑Time · Field Role
About the role
Kemper is a diversified insurance holding company with a history spanning over 100 years, firmly committed to serving the insurance needs of modest‑income families. As a Life Insurance Sales Agent you will join a team that builds personal relationships through frequent home visits — collecting premiums, selling new policies, and handling service requests. New unlicensed agents begin with a paid training period that includes study tools and guidance to pass state licensing exams. Once licensed, you receive an existing book of business and earn a percentage of collected premiums plus commissions on every new sale. The pay‑for‑performance model lets you grow your income with each sale, and superior performance is recognized through awards, prizes, and company‑sponsored trips.
