About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to become our newest Shelter Insurance Agent in Lindsay, OK. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to meet new people, develop contacts, and become a recognized community leader while growing their sales, business, and networking skills. As a Shelter Insurance Agent, you will have the chance to control your own income and run your own business without the burden of extreme start-up costs.

A previous background in the insurance industry is not required—around half of our agents have never worked in insurance before. We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds, including real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. What we look for is a motivated attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, and strong communication skills in a sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop prospects and sell Shelter Insurance products in your agency.
• Build and maintain relationships within your community.
• Meet sales requirements and core business proficiencies.
• Potentially hire and manage staff to assist with administrative duties and sales support.

Requirements

• Motivated attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong communication and sales skills (prior sales experience is helpful but not required).
• Ability to effectively engage with clients in a sales atmosphere.
• True business owner’s mindset to succeed.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

No prior insurance experience is necessary, and no capital or assets are required to start. Shelter provides comprehensive training, including in-house and virtual new agent training schools, as well as continuing industry education courses.
