Responsibilities

• Meet and develop new contacts within your community
• Communicate effectively with clients in a sales atmosphere
• Develop prospects and sell Shelter products in your agency
• Bring on staff to assist with general administrative duties and improve sales

Requirements

• A motivated attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
• Skilled capacity for effective communication in a sales environment
• While some sales experience and a degree with general business courses are helpful, in-house and virtual new agent training schools, paired with continuing industry education courses, help build the necessary foundation
• No previous background in the insurance industry is required
• No capital/assets on hand are needed to be considered for an agency
