About the role
Assists insulator to help apply, remove, and repair insulating material to exposed surfaces or structures, such as air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers and buildings to help control noise and maintain temperatures. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Work at heights with no fear.
- Carry tools and materials, prepare surfaces to be insulated, and clean work area.
- Assist Insulator with brushing adhesives on or attaching metal backed pipes.
- Measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces using tape measure, knife, or scissors.
- Assist in fitting, wrapping, or attaching required insulation material around or to structure.
- Cover or seat insulation with specified material to secure insulation to the structure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States (Austin is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment for this position).
- 6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
- TWIC Card and Driver's License.

- Ability to work in industrial and construction environments with exposure to weather conditions, temperature extremes, noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, vibration, and other site-specific hazards.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.
- Ability to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
