About the role

The Instrumentation Specialist plays a key part in ensuring the reliability and compliance of laboratory instrumentation that supports critical quality control processes. This role contributes to life-saving therapies while developing technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory instruments.
  • Develop and maintain validation procedures for laboratory systems.
  • Support computer system validation activities for lab instruments.
  • Create and manage validation documents, including protocols and reports.
  • Cook up and manage validation documents, including protocols and reports.
  • Coordinate on-site repairs and manage vendor relationships.
  • Order and maintain spare parts and inventory levels.
  • Support audits and provide technical expertise to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience working with laboratory instrumentation and systems.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing analytical instruments.
  • Knowledge of regulated environments such as GMP or similar standards.
  • Familiarity with validation or qualification of laboratory equipment.
  • Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
  • Ability to travel between local Bend sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and systems.
  • Technical skills in maintaining and repairing analytical instruments.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards like GMP.
  • Knowledge of validation processes for laboratory equipment.
  • Industry experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or related fields.
  • Ability to travel for work purposes.
