What You’ll Be Doing

• Work directly with clients to understand project needs
• Manage and direct the execution of engineering deliverables
• Develop and document the scope of work
• Size and specify instrumentation including pressure and temperature transmitters, flow meters, modulating control valves, regulators, on/off valves, and actuators
• Create datasheets and work with vendors to get quotes for instrumentation and valves for various applications
• Cook up with process engineering team to select the appropriate devices
• Create schematics, termination drawings, or loop sheets for instrument wiring
• Design custom control panels to meet the project need
• Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met
• Develop and track project costs
• Identify, document, and communicate changes to scope
• Identify and effectively respond to clients' issues and needs
• Ensure value is provided to the client and develop & earn their trust
• Review and manage all project deliverables
• Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the project

Your Ideal Background

• Strong communication skills, collaboration, and courage to challenge the status quo
• B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of related experience in project engineering, including EPC or engineering firm experience
• Experience as an Instrumentation engineer on major capital projects from the study phase, detailed design, construction support, check out and start-up
• Experience overseeing project execution to ensure completion and client satisfaction
• Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
• Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering process
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationships
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• PLC Programming is a plus
