Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Technician

What You'll Do
- Play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of equipment and systems that support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Work alongside Engineering, Facilities, and Manufacturing teams to maintain and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Perform PM execution in a highly proceduralized, compliance-driven, regulated (cGMP) environment.
- Demonstrate experience performing Calibrations of process instruments.
- Have a working knowledge of an automated calibration system (such as Beamex).
- Be experienced with PLCs, DCS, and building automation systems (BMS) like DeltaV and Allen-Bradley.
- Have a good working knowledge of electrical systems and equipment such as switchgear, VFDs, UPS systems, emergency generators, and fire alarm systems.
- Manage workload to perform calibrations and assigned tasks on time.
- Rotate with other ICE technicians as the on-call ICE technician for call-ins for one week duration.
- Respond to the plant to troubleshoot and correct problems with process, utilities, or building systems.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or GED, with advanced technical training desired in field of expertise, i.e. electrical, instrumentation and/or controls.
- R.I. State Journeyman's electrician license required.
- At least 10 years prior industrial experience, but some experience may be substituted by successful completion of a trade apprentice program or technical degree.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs and loop diagrams.
- Ability to read, understand, and test PLC code.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, MS-Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute various facilities and manufacturing department Standard Operating Procedures in a highly regulated environment.
- Possess an understanding of the change control process and the requirements for it.
- Familiarity and experience documenting working in a computerized maintenance management system, such as Oracle, Maximo or SAP is desired.
