Role Overview: The Instrumentation and Controls Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and instrumentation equipment within a power plant environment. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on process control instrumentation, control valves, motors, switchgear, and electrical systems. Calibrate pressure transmitters, replace temperature elements, and install instrumentation tubing. Complete work orders accurately, adhere to safety policies, and maintain good housekeeping. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of industrial I&C experience. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, using test equipment (multimeters, circuit analyzers, thermography cameras), and operating hand/power tools. Knowledge of safety regulations, emergency procedures, and computer systems like Microsoft Office and SAP. Must have a valid driver’s license. Physical & Work Environment: Capable of physical tasks such as lifting and climbing, working in diverse plant conditions including hot, cold, and noisy environments. Must wear PPE and operate company vehicles legally. Shifts involve 12-hour rotations, with on-duty meal periods.
