Key responsibilities
- Development of instrumentation testing protocols procedures.
- Development of Preventive Maintenance programs and procedures.
- Development of Resource Library for Electricians.
- Ensuring instrumentation operation complies with quality parameters.
- Aid in identifying and scheduling routine/planned maintenance.
- Aid in troubleshooting any issues or concerns.
- Aid Electricians with technical issues and concerns.
- Evaluate existing instrumentation and processes to improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Analyze equipment failure data.
- Conduct Root Cause analysis.
- Aid in training production staff if required.
- Work with Operations and Engineering to design and develop new control processes.
- Provide as needed Controls support to Operations and Engineering.
- Aid in Installation of new control processes.
- May involve procurement and budgetary responsibility.
- Provide IT support for plant phones, Access control and Security Systems.
- Aid Electricians with Installation, maintaining, testing, inspections, diagnose failures and calibration equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Knowledge of the following instrumentation and controls:
- Pressure Transmitters
- Coriolis and Mag Flow Meters
- RTD/Thermocouple and controllers
- Actuated Control valves and Positioners
- Level Capacitance, Radar, Ultra sonic
- Allen Bradley PLC
- Allen Bradley Variable Frequency Drives
- Yaskawa Variable Frequency Drives
- Servo Motors
Qualifications and skills
- Communication – need strong verbal communication skills to work within wider manufacturing team as well as written communication skills for activities such as report compilation and writing training documents.
- Team working – instrumentation engineers are required to work closely with people across many different departments and at all levels.
- Attention to detail – even small deviations from expected system performance must be noted and acted upon.
- Problem-solving skills – the role can require individuals to assess problems and come up with new and innovative solutions.
- Organizational skills – must be able to prioritize tasks and perform duties to minimize manufacturing downtime and meet deadlines.
- Curiosity – genuine interest in keeping up with new technologies is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $88,000 -- 163,000 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
