Responsibilities
- Adhere to and promote the Hatch corporate safety culture
- Responsible for development and production of 3D model, 2D drawings and MTO deliverables in Bentley environment
- Coordinate work with the lead engineer/designer, including taking responsibility for timely completion of deliverables
- Review, check and be responsible for quality of designs performed by self and of others in the design team, if required
- Prioritize project or program discipline actions for the purpose of achieving deliverable quality and adherence to schedule
- Prepare design concepts for internal and client reviews in collaboration with discipline lead
- Produce detailed engineering design drawings and documentation for the project. Develop deliverables using BRCM
- Perform 3D model clash detection and coordinate design with other disciplines through Interactions and Design Reviews
- Extraction of 2D drawings from 3D model and preparation of 2D layouts for Instruments (Inline and Off-Line), cable trays, lighting, grounding, equipment etc.
- Perform complex plant layout and Instrumentation systems using 3D design modeling tools (Bentley & Smart Plant suite)
- Contribute to the development of different multidisciplinary design solutions. Provide guidance on Hatch quality standards
- Responsible for design work related to quantity estimation effort on project or program including direct quantity (MTO) take-off from a 3D model, 2D drawings, sketches and historical data
- Resolve design issues throughout project lifecycle as required
- Apply industry best practices, applicable codes, standards
- Manage the schedule on project or program including multidiscipline interactions, if required
Requirements
- Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- More than 10 years of engineering design experience
- Bentley Raceway and Cable Management (BRCM) 3D modeling experience or equivalent software
- Extensive experience with MicroStation 3D, SP3D & Proficient in Smart Plant Review (SPR) or equivalent software
- Possesses design and modeling skills for Industrial plant layout, design, and detailing
- Sound knowledge of industry or regulatory codes and standards
- Experience with multidisciplinary design coordination
- Sound knowledge of workflows for Instrumentation systems
- Understanding of other discipline requirements
- Willingness to stretch, take ownership, quality conscious
- Openness to multitasking
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- COMOS Plant Engineering Software experience
- SmartPlant SP3D modeling experience
- Experience within a large project, multidisciplinary EPCM environment
- Exposure to software platforms viz. SharePoint, Blue Beam, Scope list
