Responsibilities
- Read prints and P&IDs to interpret work, required equipment, and tools.
- Install instrumentation in piping systems for proper system control and monitoring.
- Use precision tools to calibrate instrumentation and adjust electrical and piping components.
- Install, manipulate, and fabricate piping and tubing according to specifications.
- Assist with other duties, including installing pipe, tubing, and components.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in instrumentation or comparable knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and P&IDs.
- Experience working with low and high-pressure tubing/piping systems.
- Ownership of journeymen tools and experience with power tools.
- Ability to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install piping and tubing.
- Proficiency in checking performance using testing and measuring instruments and making adjustments.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Willingness to follow all company and project policies, rules, and guidelines.
- Willingness to assist with additional qualified duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current, ROF’ed, or former employee of the company.
- Formal education or vocational training in instrumentation.
- Experience in instrumentation on a new construction facility.
Physical Requirements
- Adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
- Communicate through talking and hearing.
- Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
- Lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
- Work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding using fall protection.
- Work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and steel-toed work boots.
