Responsibilities
- Follow all established safety procedures for safe maintaining of all plant equipment
- Ensure proper record keeping of calibrations in equipment data files
- Perform calibrations and repair of PH sensors, Pressure, Temperature and Flow transmitters
- Maintain plant Allen Bradley DCS system, PLC's and supporting instrumentation
- Provide leadership in professionalism and ethics
- Work with operations and supervision to solve plant problems
- Work on motors and 480v systems including troubleshooting MCC buckets, breakers, controllers
- Work on plant energy center equipment such as boilers, generators, compressors etc.
- Run and repair Heat Trace, electrical conduit, wiring and cabling for repairs or new installs
- Understand and support QSH&E goals and objectives, and on-going improvement plans and activities
- Work directly with and oversee vendors
- Manage projects based in the I&E field of work
- Telecommunications and Networking within plant
- Acrison and bleaching clay project knowledge
- Low voltage systems
- Development of systems for projects and future expansions
Requirements
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in biodiesel and/or bio-fuels industry are desirable
Physical Demands
- This position is primarily operational and requires significant physical activity.
- The role involves frequent walking, standing, and stair climbing, along with lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Employees will regularly perform pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
- Work is often conducted in outdoor environments and variable weather conditions, with exposure to elements such as heat, cold, and moisture.
- Adequate visual acuity for reading and monitoring equipment, as well as effective communication skills for verbal and written interactions, are essential.
- Employees must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) for their work areas.
Work Environment
- Work environment is based on assigned units of a manufacturing plant, with frequent mobility through all areas of production.
- This position will be exposed to all outside climate conditions.
- The noise level varies widely within different areas of production.
Normal Work Schedule
- 10-hour shifts
- Working schedule to be determined
- Occasionally extended hours or changes in schedule will be required as special circumstances arise.
