Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems across the facility
- Support operation and reliability of equipment such as MCCs, motors, transformers, UPS, generators, and process instruments
- Perform configuration, calibration, and troubleshooting of field instruments and control systems
- Support and modify DCS / PLC systems, including programming and commissioning activities
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability
- Respond to production issues and provide rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Lead or support technicians, assign daily tasks, and monitor work progress
- Review technical drawings, test results, and system performance data
- Support procurement, vendor coordination, and equipment lifecycle management
- Maintain documentation, work instructions, and compliance records in systems (e.g., SAP)
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in electrical & instrumentation maintenance/troubleshooting in chemical or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of: Electrical systems (medium voltage, low voltage, motors, MCC, transformers), Instrumentation (flow, pressure, level, temperature transmitters, etc.), Process control systems (DCS / PLC)
- Experience with instrument calibration, configuration, and troubleshooting tools
- Experience supporting or leading technicians and scheduling work activities
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation
- Experience with 12.47KV MV and 480V LV systems
- Experience with VFD sizing, installation, or troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing tools and diagnostics
- Experience developing work instructions, SOPs, or training materials
- Background in chemical manufacturing or similar high-hazard environments
