Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver all lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction per the required curriculum
- Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods, or develop them as directed by the Program Manager
- Maintain a daily lesson plan
- Monitor and document student attendance and retention as required
- Grade assignments and return feedback to students in a timely manner
- Provide educational assistance during scheduled office hours or by appointment
- Substitute in classes when necessary
- Advises students on school policies and satisfactory academic performance
- Submit textbook, supply, and equipment needs in writing to the Program Manager
- Maintain equipment and supply inventory in secured facilities
- Communicate with the Campus President or Program Manager on all student related matters
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a welding professional
- AWS CWI certification along with welding vocational/technical training with pipe and structural welding certificates and 3 years of experience in inspection or fabricator QC will be considered
- Broad knowledge of welding applications, procedures, specifications, industry codes and standards, and applied metallurgy
- Proficient computer skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
Pay
Part-Time | Pay by Course $1,250–$1,450 per 5-week course
Average 10–12 hours per week in the classroom and working with students
