About the role

Built by Me is a STEM enrichment company offering interactive, collaborative, hands-on, project-based classes and workshops to children in grades 1–8. Our mission is to help children grow into creators by teaching them to use technology to explore, create, and learn new skills while having fun.

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic instructors with a passion for STEM and prior experience working with kids. This part-time opportunity is ideal for gaining practical experience and building your resume.

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive and safe environment, allying with students to speak and write in their authentic voice
• Work with small groups of children (no more than 10 per class)
• Deliver engaging, hands-on STEM curriculum in robotics, coding, math, design, communications, video, music, and art

Requirements

• Experience working with kids
• Interest in robotics, coding, math, design, communications, video, music, and/or art
• High emotional intelligence, a creative mind, and a driven work ethic
• Energetic, dependable, friendly, and flexible personality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of technology

Driver’s License and reliable transportation is a plus (mileage will be reimbursed).

Schedule

• Weekdays: 4–7 pm
• Saturdays: 9 am–12 pm
