Instructor Position, Division of Rheumatology

About the role

The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year, with continuation and renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

Responsibilities

• Research under the mentorship of a senior investigator
• Clinical work within the Division of Rheumatology
• Develop independence in research through writing grants and peer‑reviewed publications

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree
• Board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology

Qualifications

• Expertise in laboratory‑based research related to autoimmunity, inflammation, musculoskeletal medicine, or rheumatology
• Expertise in clinical epidemiology related to autoimmunity, musculoskeletal medicine, or rheumatology
• Expertise in health services research related to autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal medicine, or rheumatology
