About the Role

The College of Science & Health (CSH) at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse seeks to fill an ongoing search for potential instructors to serve departmental needs. Successful candidates will be under the general supervision of the relevant department chair and will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses
  • Prepare for and hold classes (face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online)
  • Evaluate students' work
  • Assess student outcomes
  • Provide regular and substantive feedback on student work
  • Maintain appropriate records
  • Hold office hours
  • May advise students and/or provide other service to the department

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree, or, in rare circumstances, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus experience, can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position.
  • Depending on the program, specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required.

SkillsAbility to facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction
  • Ability to develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Ability to serve as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
